Are you planning on traveling internationally?
If so, the first thing that you need to do is make a plan. A plan of how you are going to get from point A to point B especially now that most of the countries in the western world (but not only there) are locked down for the third or even fourth wave of Covid 19 Pandemic.
Whether you are traveling locally or internationally, there are certain tips and tricks to keep in mind to make your time on vacation, as easy and as smooth as possible. The first tip in this article is no quarantine travel, also known as self contained travel.
No quarantining means that you are traveling inside the country that you are located. If you already know that you are traveling locally, then you are safe. If not, then you have two options. One, you can travel locally and see for yourself what the risks are, or Two, you can travel internationally and attempt to find out what the risks are while traveling in another country (we wouldn’t suggest the latter).
No quarantining when traveling locally simply refers to being safe when traveling within your own country. For instance, if you are traveling in your own country for a week long winter working holiday, you can still enjoy local attractions and night life. Pretty much the same as if you were in an international destination.
In most cases, we refer also to “local knowledge”, that is, we are talking about visiting a few interesting places within your own country. If you are currently located in Malaysia for example, for a week’s worth of vacation, you can then visit places that you know but have never seen personally, places like the Taman Negara Pahang National Park or the The island of Penang and the historical George Town. You can gain a better understanding of local culture and tradition by learning from these places. While this may not seem like much, it adds up over time and can make all the difference.
